Little job I did.

I did this little illustration a number of months back and it is now live. Haven't looked at it since I did it, and now am finding lots of things I'd like to change. Oh well.

Skeches from last night

Its been a while since I've done anything resembling a proper illustration, so I started brainstorming last night while gaming with friends, and here is the result. I plan on getting a nice refined drawing and then painting in oil.

The past week!

So here is a smattering of stuff from this week.

A landscape, oil on board

A rough acrylic sketch from a while bat that I painted more, acrylic on plywood

Similar to the ship, had a rough painting from Kazu's class that I never did anyhting with, put more paint on it, might go back at the girl with oils, cause I'm still not pumped about it. Acrylic on canvasboard.

Mini canvas (4x6) done with fabric paints that were leftover from the project below.

Here is my first step tword maybe painting some miniatures again. Started making terrain to play tabletop games with people. Here is the first finished piece.

Progress

Progress shot and close up. I'm not entirely happy with how my greens are looking. I've started playing with varying the color in the trees, but the groundcover is too generic and all the same, that's what I get for starting a painting without a drawing underneath it.

Haven't so much as looked at Painter in ages, and thought I'd give it yet another try to endear me. This is a little sketch turned illustration I had a colorstudy for, and sat down for a few hours tonight diddling with painter. I'm going to try to finish it entirely in painter, but no promises.

2 Landscapes from today, and a photo from the many I took to paint at home that I thought worked nicer as a photo than as a painting.

BUNCHA STUFF

Ok, here is a bunch of stuff. First, I've been building some lightweight travel easel setups for landscape painting, and here are the first paintings done using my new setup.

So here are a couple of pics of my box attached to the tripod. (Attached via quick release)Adjustable lid.
Here is a nicer one I made. (previous one is my messy prototype)

Here are a couple of paintings I did like a year ago and totally forgot about.
